Police: Former massage therapist who filmed clients at Chattanooga spa has more victims - WTVC

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — We are continuing to follow the case of a Chattanooga massage therapist who lost his license after he admitted to recording a female client undressing.

Police tell us Thursday that more victims have come forward.

Kenneth Spears worked for the Massage Envy at Hamilton Place.

Spears has not been charged with a crime yet as Chattanooga Police say his case is still under investigation.

"I want to know why people aren't taking this more seriously. I mean, a slap on the wrist and losing your license is really nothing."

We spoke with a woman who says she was contacted by Chattanooga Police after they say video was taken during her massage at Massage Envy in 2023.

Since then, the answers she's received have been slim.

"They really didn't give me anything except for, 'well, what do you want to do with your video?' And I still don't know what I want to do with my video. I don't know if I want to see it. I don't know if I just don't want it out there."

Kenneth Spears was fired from the Hamilton Place Massage Envy the same day the first police report was filed.

But CPD tells us more possible victims have been coming forward.

As of now, they don't have an exact number.

A spokesperson for Massage Envy tells us Spears worked there for 5 years.

Massage Envy tells us they are outraged and deeply saddened by this, saying...

"...The safety and wellbeing of our members and employees is our absolute priority and as soon as we became aware of the inappropriate conduct, the employee was immediately terminated, the state board notified and law enforcement alerted. We remain fully engaged in supporting the ongoing investigation and have closely followed law enforcement's direction."

Police say the details they received from new victims on Wednesday nigh have been added to the investigation.

"I was following instruction. I paid for a massage, and I got a piece of internet porn from it? It's horrible."

We reached out to Spears again...

He tells us he has no comment at this time.

"He invaded my privacy. He invaded all of these women's privacy. He made me feel uncomfortable about myself."

Massage Envy tells us "our focus is on supporting those effected and rebuilding the trust of our clients and community."

They say they appreciate their clients' continued support.
